UXP Systems Extends Leadership in Driving User Centric Experiences with the Launch of MINT v3.7
11 September, 2014
New release extends library of User Lifecycle Management processes for user and household profiles; sets a common foundation for user-centric Next Generation TV and Connected Life initiatives.
TORONTO, ONTARIO – September 11, 2014 – UXP Systems (www.uxpsystems.com), the industry’s leader in enabling seamless user centric experiences across services and screens for operators, is pleased to announce that MINT Software Suite v3.7 will be available for its existing and new customers in September, 2014.

“Operators are continuing to realize that the need to create and manage universal user and household profiles is foundational to both next generation video, and the consumer internet of things”, said Jay Deen, CTO of UXP Systems. “In fact, federating services through a unified user profile is the key to a seamless and personalized experience across all screens”

“With this release of the MINT Software Suite v3.7, we are further enabling operators to deliver on the promise of providing user-centric entertainment experiences across both operator and 3rd party cloud services”.

The MINT Software Suite v3.7 supports an extended library of user enrollment flows, a looser coupling of user profiles to billing accounts to support an extended set of use cases, and streamlined customer journeys to get universal profiles in use across video and broadband services. Moreover, enhancements to log-mining using UXP Systems’ UXDR™ technology (User Experience Data Records) provides user-level operator analytics, user-centric recommendations, and individually targeted advertising through UXP Systems’ solution partner vendors.

This updated version of the MINT v3.7 Software suite includes:

• An expanded out-of-the box User Lifecycle Management process library to enable individual user and household profiles across devices and services
• Full de-coupling of user profiles from billing accounts, allowing for trial users, moving of user profiles between accounts and multiple accounts-per user scenarios
• A Service Application Module management interface, to view and manage all services integrated to the MINT Software Suite to deliver user-centric experiences
• Enhancements to the MINT AnyService SDK, allowing operators and partners to register any service to a MINT profile, making the service ‘profile aware'
Existing UXP Systems’ customers will adopt and leverage the MINT v3.7 platform to update their existing next generation service initiatives, supporting more use cases in the creation of individual TV Profiles for users, and more seamless access to core and cloud services as the Consumer Internet of Things emerges, resulting in a more competitive stance for the operator, as well as the enablement of new monetization models for next generation services.

UXP Systems Inc. to Demonstrate the Future of TV at the NCTA Cable Show
29 April, 2014 - UXP Systems shows Cable Providers how to streamline User Registration, Personalize services for all members of the household, and blend next generation services to traditional video for a compelling and differentiating user experience
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – APRIL 29, 2014 – UXP Systems, (www.uxpsystems.com), provider of the award winning MINT Personalization and Multiservice Gateway Software platform for operators will be demonstrating the MINT platform at the NCTA Cable Show in Los Angeles, CA, April 29th –May 1st, 2014. “As new services emerge and are integrated into the entertainment experience, operators need a solution to break down the household paradigm and create user profiles and associate services to these individual users”, said Gemini Waghmare, CEO and Founder of UXP Systems. “The MINT platform was envisioned for precisely this purpose, providing a unified gateway for both Core and Cloud services, support for blended and third party OTT services, as well as rapid deployment of these services to customers. This is vital to operators who are constantly competing for increasingly discriminating users and across multiple device types within a changing entertainment ecosystem”.

UXP Systems Inc. will be demonstrating how the MINT Platform can enable a seamless, end to end process for enrolling users (and sub-account users), discovering and associating services, authorizing and reporting on the use of these services, as well as federating access to all of these services across all types of end-user devices. “Simplifying the user journey to a few key steps on the main screen and quickly providing personalized value is a core component of next gen TV” said Waghmare. Some of the third party services being demonstrated at the Cable Show include associations to YouTube, Facebook and Twitter within the video experience, personalized recommendations for individual users in the household across video assets, iControl Home Monitoring, as well as additional pre-packaged operator apps. “The role of the operator as an aggregator of services is only going to increase over time, and the ability for them to source these services from within as well as from the cloud is a trend we see becoming more and more popular in the future” said Waghmare.

TORONTO, ON and ATLANTA, GA (PRWEB) February 14, 2014 UXP Systems, provider of the leading multiservice and personalization gateway for next generation television today announced the planned integration of UXP Systems’ MINT Software Suite with Rovi Remote Access Services, a new component of the Rovi Cloud Services offering. Once finalized, UXP plans to offer the resulting solution to service providers who can use the solution together with a Rovi guide to control legacy set top boxes.

“With our Rovi Remote Access Services integration, operators who deploy the MINT Platform will be able to personalize, blend and extend new innovative services into video experiences that span across legacy set tops, tablets and smartphones,” said Jay Deen, CTO of UXP Systems. “Operators will be able to further differentiate their multiscreen experiences by creating a more converged, multiservice experience, without the need to make any changes to their existing set-top boxes and BSS /OSS Systems”. By using the Rovi Cloud Services API and the MINT Software Suite, Rovi customers will be able to deliver a companion app experience that gives subscribers the ability to remotely control their legacy set-top box using a smartphone or tablet.

The collaboration between UXP Systems and Rovi coincides with the recent launch of UXP Systems’ MINT 3.5 Software Suite, which has enhanced User Lifecycle Management capabilities, enabling operators to increase their competitive position by providing new personalized and enhanced services that are more streamlined and compelling for consumers.

UXP Systems and Rovi plan to integrate Rovi Remote Access Services with the MINT Multiservice Gateway. This is designed to allow providers to easily integrate next-generation TV features powered by Rovi into MINT’s Multiservice Gateway module, offering consumers the ability to:

o Remote Tune and Remote DVR, which can allow advanced guides on connected devices to perform various DVR Management functions including setting personalized recordings. In addition, the solution is designed to allow the integration of social media within the home entertainment experience
o Access multiscreen voice and viewing capabilities from multiple devices including tablets and smartphones

“We believe UXP Systems' MINT platform will be a welcomed addition to our portfolio of solutions that use Rovi Cloud Services that are designed to help our customers create dynamic and more personalized ways for consumers to discover and enjoy entertainment across multiple screens,” said Michael Buchheim, senior vice president of product management, Rovi. “An important element of this process — and for creating smarter home environments in general — is to form a communication gateway between connected devices and the legacy infrastructure.
