John Risley
Chairman
John Risley is a Canadian entrepreneur with major financial interests in broadband services, pay television, emerging technology, consumer goods and fisheries. He is the deputy chairman of Cable and Wireless, a provider of quadruple play broadband services in 42 markets across the Caribbean and Latin America. He and his business partner John C. Malone, are the largest shareholders of Cable & Wireless. Risley is also a major shareholder in UXP Systems, an emerging leader in user management systems for cable & telecommunications providers.

Risley is active in Canadian business policy and charitable affairs, sitting on the Board of a number of charitable organizations. He is Chair of Futurpreneur Canada (a national platform to support young entrepreneurs) and co-Chair of the Capital Campaign for the Nature Conservancy. He regularly engages in public policy debate, is Chairman of the Atlantic Institute of Market Studies, a member of the World President’s Organization, The Chief Executives Organization and is a director of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives. He is also a graduate of Harvard University’s President’s Program in Leadership.

He was named an Officer of the Order of Canada - Canada’s Highest Civilian Honor - in 1997. He has received numerous awards, including Atlantic Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year and a Canada Award for Business Excellence in Entrepreneurship.
Brendan Paddick
CEO, Columbus International Inc.
Mr. Paddick is the chairman and chief executive officer of Columbus International Inc., a Barbados-based corporation that holds investments in retail triple play broadband telecommunication providers in Trinidad, Jamaica, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Curacao all of which operate under the brand name, FLOW. Columbus is also active in corporate data solutions, capacity & IP services and data center hosting throughout 42 countries in the greater Caribbean, Central American and Andean region. Through its fully protected, ringed submarine fiber optic network spanning more than 42,300 km's and its 27,000 km terrestrial fibre and coaxial network, Columbus provides advanced telecom services to a diverse residential and corporate client base of more than 650,000 customers.

From 2001 to 2010 he also served as the Chairman and CEO of Cable Bahamas Limited. Prior to founding Columbus in 2005, Mr. Paddick was President & CEO of Persona Communications Inc., a TSX listed company that provided digital cable television, high speed Internet, commercial data and telecom services to a diverse base of residential and commercial customers in seven Canadian provinces and The Bahamas.
Brian Shepherd
President, Customer Strategy & Technology Solutions, TeleTech
As President of Customer Strategy and Customer Technology Services, Brian Shepherd is responsible for leading and growing TeleTech’s worldwide Consulting and Technology business segments. Previously, Brian was a member of the Amdocs Executive Management team leading three separate divisions. He lead Global Marketing responsible for the strategic marketing direction, brand development, product marketing, and other marketing initiatives. He also had management responsibility for growing Amdocs’ profitable PayTV business, and he lead Amdocs strategic expansion into new high-growth markets and lines of businesses.

Prior to this role, Mr. Shepherd was President of Amdocs Interactive where he led Amdocs' digital commerce and mobile payments business. He has served as Division President of North American Communications & Cable, and Business Unit President of Broadband Cable & Satellite. Brian joined Amdocs as part of the July 2005 acquisition of DST Innovis, where he had served since 2002 as Senior Vice President responsible for DST Innovis’ global broadband and satellite customer sales and service delivery organization.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Shepherd spent four years as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company, worked as Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of a wireless software company, and managed a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation for Eli Lilly. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Wabash College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Bill Linton
Company Director
Bill Linton is presently the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Softchoice Corp ("SO" on the TSX) and also sits on the Board of Directors of the TMX Group ("X" on the TSX). Bill served as the Executive Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Rogers Communications from 2005 until his retirement in July 2012. Prior to Rogers, Mr. Linton served as President and CEO of Sprint Canada, Chairman and CEO of Prior Data Services Inc, and Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of SHL Systemhouse, Inc, among others.

Mr. Linton holds a bachelor of commerce degree from St. Mary's University, is a chartered accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.
Nikos Katinakis
EVP Networks and Group CTO, Reliance Jio
Nikos Katinakis is the EVP Networks and Group CTO for Reliance Jio in India. Reliance Jio is the world’s largest telecommunications startup with an array of market changing services being offered to the market.

Previously, Katinakis was the SVP of Architecture and Technology Development for Network and IT at Rogers Communications, as well as the Chief Information Security Officer, where he was responsible for the technology strategy, selection, and roadmap that guided the Rogers deployment of next generation capabilities across all access networks and all services. He also spent several years at Ericsson, and held progressively senior management positions, culminating with his role as Chief Technology Officer for Ericsson Canada.

Katinakis is a graduate of the Electrical Engineering program at McGill University, specializing in Computer Engineering with a secondary focus in Marketing Management. He holds multiple patents in the telecommunications sector.
Gemini Waghmare
Founder & CEO
A veteran of the communications industry IT space, Gemini has held senior management positions at Amdocs, TELUS, Digital Equipment Corporation, and various startup companies.

Gemini holds a degree Business in Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. Gemini provides the strategic direction for UXP Systems and is responsible for the realization of the company's goal of providing solutions that power the connected communications experience. His deep knowledge of service provider infrastructure and entrepreneurial vision give UXP Systems the foundation to succeed in the dynamic telecom and cable landscape.
