Accessibility Policy

This accessibility plan outlines the policies and actions that UXP Systems, Inc. (UXP Systems) will put in place to improve opportunities for people with disabilities.

UXP Systems is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence. We believe in integration and equal opportunity. We are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner, and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

Accessible Emergency Information
UXP Systems is committed to providing the customers and clients with publicly available emergency information in an accessible way upon request. We will also provide employees with disabilities with individualized emergency response information when necessary.

Service Animals and Support Persons
UXP Systems welcomes individuals with disabilities who use service animals or require the assistance of support persons. Service animals and support persons are allowed on the parts of our premises that are open to the public or other third parties, in accordance with applicable laws.

Recruitment, Assessment and Selection

UXP Systems will notify employees and the public about the availability of accommodation for job applicants who have disabilities. Applicants will be informed that these accommodations are available, upon request, for the interview process and for other candidate selection methods. Where an accommodation is requested, UXP Systems will consult with the applicant and provide or arrange for suitable accommodation.

Successful applicants will be made aware of UXP Systems' policies and supports for accommodating people with disabilities.


Notices of Temporary Disruptions
In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities that may be used by individuals with varying abilities, notices will be communicated in accessible formats at the entrances to our office premises. Notices will advise individuals regarding the reason for the disruption, the anticipated duration, and an alternative to the disrupted service and/or facility.

Notices will be posted and/or communicated to individuals with disabilities in a manner that is reasonable given the circumstances of the disruption.

Information and Communications
UXP Systems is committed to meeting the communication needs of people with disabilities. We will consult with people with disabilities to determine their information and communication needs.

UXP systems will ensure that our website (www.uxpsystems.com) and content on our website conforms with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 standards. UXP Systems will conduct a thorough review by January 1, 2021 of our websites and content on our websites, meet the standards set forth in WCAG 2.0 Level AA.

We will communicate with customers with varying abilities in ways that best meet their needs.

Training
UXP Systems will provide training to employees on Ontario’s accessibility laws and on the Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities. Training will be provided in a way that best suits the duties of employees.

Training will include the following components:

- An overview of applicable laws related to the provision of goods and services to individuals with disabilities
- An overview of the policy along with any other policies and procedures that aid in provisioning goods and services to users with disabilities
- Best practices on how to interact or communicate with individuals with various types of disabilities, including those who use assistive devices, support persons, and/or service animals
- Instruction on what to do if an individual with a disability is having difficulty within UXP Systems’ premises or having difficulty working with goods and services provided by UXP Systems.

Training will also include any changes to this policy along with any relevant policies and procedures that aid in the prevention and removal of barriers to accessibility.

Feedback Process
UXP Systems is committed to improving our client services by listening to the needs of our clients and responding to their feedback to our efforts, to remove and prevent any barriers to accessibility. Individuals are encouraged to communicate any feedback they may have, with regards to apparent barriers to people with disabilities by directing communications to:

Individuals can expect a response or a preliminary response to their feedback within 15 business days of receipt, if the nature of the feedback requires a response by management to address any barriers to disabilities. UXP Systems will take steps to put into effect any reasonable changes that are required by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service regulations.

Modifications to this policy
UXP Systems is committed to making our workplace, a barrier free environment to individuals with disabilities. Policy updates will be ongoing to ensure our commitment to accessibility is met.
